Aluminum Alloy 1100

Aluminum Alloy 1100 (AA 1100 / UNS A91100) is a commercially pure aluminum alloy from the 1xxx series, widely used in global industrial markets due to its excellent corrosion resistance, superior formability, high thermal conductivity, and good electrical conductivity. With a minimum aluminum content of 99%, Aluminum 1100 is mainly selected for applications where easy fabrication, surface quality, and chemical stability are more important than high mechanical strength.

Aluminum  alloy 1100 is available in various commercial forms including Aluminum 1100 sheets, plates, coils, strips, foils, wires, rods, tubes, and custom fabricated profiles. Common tempers include O (annealed), H12, H14, H16, and H18, allowing buyers to select the required balance between softness, ductility, and strength. Aluminum 1100 is non-heat treatable and its mechanical properties are improved mainly through cold working processes. Aluminum Alloy 1100 is widely used in food processing equipment, chemical processing industries, heat exchangers, HVAC components, lighting reflectors, kitchenware, decorative parts, electrical applications, packaging components, nameplates, and general sheet metal fabrication. Its main advantages include excellent weldability, outstanding corrosion resistance, lightweight structure, attractive surface finish, and excellent forming performance for deep drawing and bending operations.
