Aluminum Alloy 1050

Aluminum Alloy 1050 is a commercially pure aluminum grade from the 1xxx series with a minimum aluminum content of approximately 99.5%. This alloy is widely used in industries where high electrical conductivity, excellent corrosion resistance, superior formability, and good surface finishing are required. Due to its high purity and low alloying element content, Aluminum 1050 offers outstanding chemical stability and is considered one of the most versatile pure aluminum materials for industrial applications.

Aluminum Alloy 1050 is available in different commercial forms including sheets, plates, coils, strips, foils, profiles, wires, tubes, and extruded products. This material is mainly supplied in tempers such as O (annealed), H12, H14, H16, and H18, depending on the required hardness and mechanical performance. Although it has lower mechanical strength compared with heat-treatable aluminum alloys, it provides excellent ductility, weldability, thermal conductivity, and electrical performance.

This alloy is widely used in electrical components, heat exchangers, chemical equipment, food processing equipment, pharmaceutical containers, reflectors, cable sheathing, architectural applications, and general sheet metal manufacturing. Aluminum 1050 is also preferred for applications requiring easy forming, deep drawing, corrosion resistance, and a bright reflective surface finish. It can be supplied according to international standards such as EN AW-1050A, ASTM, and UNS A91050 for global B2B industrial requirements
