Chromite Ore

Chromite is a part of the spinel group, which means that it is able to form a complete solid solution (a mixture of two crystalline solids that coexist as a new crystalline solid) with other minerals in the same group. It is dark gray to black in colour with a metallic to submetallic luster and a high specific gravity.

Chrome ore is found in basic and ultrabasic igneous rocks and in the metamorphic and sedimentary rocks that are produced when chromite-bearing rocks are altered by heat or weathering. There are two main types of chromite deposits: stratiform deposits and podiform deposits

Cis-2-Butene

Cis-2-Butene gas is colorless, but do has  distinct odor, and is highly flammable. Although not naturally present in petroleum in high percentages, it can be produced from petrochemicals or by catalytic cracking of petroleum. Although it is a  stable compound, the carbon-carbon double bonds make it more reactive than similar alkanes, which are more inert compounds in various ways.

The citric acid that’s added to many food and drinks, medications, personal care products, and cleaning products is artificially manufactured. It’s used as an antimicrobial, antioxidant, flavoring agent, and more.

This type of citric acid is used in:

The food industry. Citric acid is often added to packaged food and drinks. It helps keep canned and jarred foods fresh over long periods. It can prevent some kinds of fresh-cut produce, such as sliced apples, from turning brown. Citric acid can also help thicken foods or give them a slightly sour flavor.

Alcohol production. Citric acid can balance out the acid in a food or drink. Winemakers sometimes add it to their products to improve the taste.

Drug manufacturing. Some creams include citric acid to help clear up skin infections. Other citric acid drugs that you take by mouth can lower the amount of acid in your urine

Personal care products. When manufacturers mix citric acid with other ingredients, they can form a compound called “alpha hydroxy acid” that helps smooth your skin. It’s also in some cosmetics and toiletries, such as lipstick, hair spray, and deodorant, to help them last longer.

Coarse Perlite
