Polymerization is initiated by alkyl lithium compounds. Water and oxygen are strictly excluded. It’s known for its excellent physical and viscoelastic properties, making it a preferred choice for high-performance tire treads, particularly those designed for low rolling resistance , improved wet grip and good wear resistance. . It’s also used in other applications like conveyor belts, footwear, and industrial rubber products.
