Xylene

Xylene exists in three isomeric forms — ortho-xylene, meta-xylene, and para-xylene — along with mixed xylene blends commonly used in industrial formulations. Each type has specific uses: para-xylene is a key raw material for polyester and PET resin production; ortho-xylene is used in manufacturing phthalic anhydride; and meta-xylene serves in the production of isophthalic acid and coatings. Mixed xylene is extensively used as a solvent in paints, inks, adhesives, rubber, and cleaning agents. Industrial production involves catalytic reforming of petroleum naphtha followed by fractionation and purification to achieve high purity levels, typically 99.5% or higher, ensuring excellent consistency and performance.
