Apricot

Apricots are considered to be Stone Fruits (Drupe). With their juicy flesh and delicate aroma, apricots are a popular choice for jams, pies, desserts, and even savory dishes.

Types of Apricots in Iran:

  • Almond Apricots
  • Funnel Apricots
  • Shredded Sugar Apricots (Shakarpareh)
  • Nakhjavan Apricots
  • Ghavami  Apricots

Aquatic feeds ( Fish Feeds )

The nutritional content of the feed depends on what species of fish is being cultured and at what life stage. When fish are reared in high-density indoor systems or confined in cages and cannot forage freely on natural food (e.g., algae, aquatic plants, aquatic invertebrates, etc.), they must be provided a complete diet. In contrast, supplemental (i.e., incomplete or partial) diets are intended only to help support the natural food normally available to fish in ponds or outdoor raceways. Supplemental diets do not contain a full complement of vitamins or minerals but are typically used to help fortify the naturally available diet with extra protein, carbohydrate, and/or lipids.
Commercial fish diets are manufactured as either extruded (floating or buoyant) or pressure-pelleted (sinking) feeds. Both floating and sinking feed can produce satisfactory growth, but some fish species prefer floating, others sinking.
Feed is available in a variety of sizes ranging from fine crumbles for small fish to large (1/2-inch or larger) pellets. The pellet size should be approximately 20-30 percent of the size of the fish’s mouth gape.

Cherry

Uses :
– Cherries can be eaten fresh, baked into pies, or used to make jams and jellies.
– They are often used to flavor cakes and ice cream.
– Cherries are a good source of Vitamin B.

Types
– Sweet cherries (Prunus avium) are typically favored for fresh eating and drying.
– Sour cherries (Prunus cerasus) are superior for cooking, baking, and canning.
– Dukes are crosses of sweet and sour cherries.

Feldspar

All feldspars have a hardness of about six on the Mohs scale, which falls between a steel knife (5.5) and quartz (7). Most feldspar minerals have a whitish appearance with a glassy luster, although a few contain shades of orange.
There are three types of feldspars: plagioclase, alkaki, and barium.
Feldspar is extracted from rocks and crushed into fine powder or granules that are used in the manufacturing of ceramic tile, plate glass, pottery, paint, plastics, and fiberglass insulation.
In Glass production , Feldspar provides both K2O and Na2O for fluxing, and Al2O3 and CaO as stabilizers.

Ferrochrome

Stainless steel depends on chromium for its appearance and resistance to corrosion. Average chrome content in stainless steel is approx. 18%. It is also used to add chromium to carbon steel.

Low carbon and medium carbon ferrochrome is used in the manufacture of special steels. Low carbon ferrochrome can be used to produce super alloys. High carbon ferrochrome (HC FeCr) contain between 4% and 9% of carbon, HC FeCr typically contains 60-70% in chromium content and 1-3% silicon.

Low carbon ferrochrome (LC FeCr), with a carbon content below 0.5%, is a ferroalloy used to regulate the ratio of chromium in steel production without adding carbon and other unwanted ingredients. It is also used by the super alloys industries.

Ferromolybdenum

The alloy is produced by heating a mixture of molybdenum(VI) oxide MoO3, aluminium, and iron. The oxide and the aluminium combine via an aluminothermic reaction to give molybdenum in situ. The ferromolybdenum can be purified by electron beam melting or used as it is. For alloying with steel the ferromolybdenum is added to molten steel before casting

Ferro Molybdenum is a hardening agent and is found in many alloy steels that are heat-treatable. Molybdenum prevents corrosion in stainless steels, and when mixed with iron, the Molybdenum also strengthens and hardens into austenite.

Ferrosilicon

Ferrosilicons with higher silicon content are made in electric arc furnaces. The usual available formulations are ferrosilicons with 15%, 45%, 75%, and 90% silicon. Ferrosilicon is used as a source of silicon to reduce metals from their oxides and to deoxidize steel and other ferrous alloys. This prevents the loss of carbon from the molten steel.
Ferrosilicon is also used for manufacture of silicon, corrosion-resistant and high-temperature-resistant ferrous silicon alloys, and silicon steel for electromotors and transformer cores. In the manufacture of cast iron, ferrosilicon is used for inoculation of the iron to accelerate graphitization. In arc welding, ferrosilicon can be found in some electrode coatings. Ferrosilicon is a basis for manufacture of prealloys like magnesium ferrosilicon (MgFeSi), used for production of ductile iron.

Furfural

. It is a product of the dehydration of sugars, as occurs in a variety of agricultural byproducts, including corncobs, oat, wheat bran, and sawdust.
Furfural is an important renewable, non-petroleum based, chemical feedstock. It can be converted into a variety of solvents, polymers, fuels and other useful chemicals by a range  of catalytic reduction.
Hydrogenation of furfural provides furfuryl alcohol (FA), which is used to produce furan resins, which are exploited in thermoset polymer matrix composites, cements, adhesives, casting resins and coatings. Further hydrogenation of furfuryl alcohol leads to tetrahydrofurfuryl alcohol (THFA), which is used as a solvent in agricultural formulations and as an adjuvant to help herbicides penetrate the leaf structure.

Grape

Types of Grapes in Iran :

White Grapes : Rish Baba Sefid that is a large, white , late-ripening, white grape with an elongated oval berry shape. It has thick skin and is good for storing and transporting.

Red Grapes
– Yaghouti: A famous red grapevine cultivar with high nutritional value.
– Sirch: A famous red grapevine cultivar with high nutritional value.
– Panje Arous: A famous red grapevine cultivar with high nutritional value.
– Shiraz: A famous red grapevine cultivar with high nutritional value.

Seedless grapes  such as Keshmeshi: A popular seedless grape that’s good for snacking.

Other varieties
Asgari , a small, green grape with thin skin that’s known for its sweetness. Shahroudi, A grape known for its high yield and juicy flesh.  Yâghuti , a yellowish-green grape with a refreshing flavor that’s sometimes called “champagne grapes”.

Low Density Fibreboard (LDF)

This light-weight panels offer the unique combination of low density and ease in machinability making it an excellent choice for a variety of applications. Low Density Fibreboard (LDF) is often used when there is a need to reduce weight without sacrificing its versatility. Due to its low density, it is light and made handling much easier. It has excellent machinability and consistent core which make it suitable for architectural moldings, trade show exhibits, ready to assemble furniture and many more applications.

Medium Density Fibreboard (MDF)

The veneer sheets are unprocessed, but can be oiled to obtain a more golden look. There is no veneer on the edges, only on the surfaces. The veneer direction is always longitudinal. Veneered MDF provides a perfect alternative to solid wood and is used as a wood substitute in a variety of applications. A 0.5mm veneer coating is applied to each side to create veneered MDF sheets that can be normal or high gloss . Under the MDF umbrella, however, are a few other types beyond the “regular” MDF that are made especially for certain applications.
