Zinc Ethyl Silicate Primer

Zinc Ethyl Silicate Primers are available in single-pack moisture-cured and two-component systems, depending on formulation and curing requirements. They are commonly applied on structural steel, offshore platforms, refineries, petrochemical plants, power stations, bridges, storage tanks, shipbuilding steel, and heavy industrial equipment. Key advantages include excellent galvanic protection, outstanding resistance to abrasion, heat, solvents, and chemicals, and very long service life in severe corrosion categories (C4–C5). Typical properties include zinc content often exceeding 80–85% by weight in dry film, high temperature resistance, excellent weldability, and compatibility with epoxy, polyurethane, and silicone topcoats.
