Wash Primer
Wash Primer is a fast-drying pretreatment coating designed to improve adhesion and provide initial corrosion protection on metal surfaces. It is typically based on polyvinyl butyral resin combined with phosphoric acid and corrosion-inhibiting pigments, making it an essential primer for steel, galvanized steel, aluminum, and non-ferrous metals in industrial coating systems.
Wash Primers are available mainly as two-component systems (base + acid activator) and are widely used on structural steel, automotive parts, metal fabrications, aluminum profiles, galvanized surfaces, machinery components, and industrial equipment. Key advantages include excellent surface etching, strong adhesion to smooth or difficult substrates, very fast drying, and reduced risk of underfilm corrosion.
