Silica Powder

Silica Powder is available in several forms including natural ground silica, washed silica, calcined silica, and high-purity micronized silica, with SiO₂ content typically ranging from 90% to above 99%. It is produced from carefully selected quartz sources through crushing, milling, and classification processes to achieve consistent fineness. Silica powder is extensively used in glass and ceramic production, paints and coatings, adhesives and sealants, rubber and plastics compounding, foundry molds, and construction materials such as mortars and tile adhesives. High-purity grades are also applied in chemical formulations, electronics, refractories, and filtration systems. From a technical perspective, key parameters include SiO₂ purity, particle size distribution, whiteness, moisture content, bulk density, and low levels of iron and other impurities to ensure optimal performance in sensitive applications.
