Amorphous Graphite

Amorphous Graphite is available in different grades based on fixed carbon percentage, particle size, and ash content, typically ranging from 70% to 90%+ carbon. It is supplied as amorphous graphite powder, granular graphite, or screened graphite fines, tailored to specific process requirements. Major applications include carbon raisers in steelmaking and foundries, refractory products, brake linings, drilling fluids, sealing compounds, conductive fillers, and anti-corrosion coatings. In construction and energy sectors, amorphous graphite is also used in expandable graphite production, insulation materials, and friction components. Chemically, it consists mainly of elemental carbon with controlled levels of silica, alumina, iron oxide, and other mineral residues. Key technical parameters include particle size distribution (mesh or micron range), fixed carbon content, moisture, bulk density, and volatile matter.
