Butadiene
1,3-Butadiene is the organic compound with the formula CH2=CH-CH=CH2. It is a colorless gas that is easily condensed to a liquid. It is important industrially as a precursor to synthetic rubber.
Production of 1,3 – Butadiene can be extraction from ,C4 hydrocarbons in the cracking process of naphtha , dehydrogenation of n-butane ,ethanol , butenes.
1,3-Butadiene is a chemical made from the processing of petroleum It is a colorless gas with a mild gasoline-like odor. About 75% of the manufactured 1,3-butadiene is used to make synthetic rubber. 1,3-Butadiene is also used to make plastics including acrylics.

The main applications of Butadiene are synthetic rubber (SBR, SBS, thermoplastic rubber, etc.), widely used in producing shoe soles, tyres and other parts for the car industry, adhesives and sealants, asphalt and polymer modification and compounds for endless purposes. It is also the basis for nylon and ABS resins
