Fluorite Powder

Fluorite Powder is available in several grades such as metallurgical grade (metspar), ceramic grade, and acid grade, typically classified by CaF₂ content ranging from about 70% up to 97% and above. It is produced through crushing, grinding, washing, and beneficiation of natural fluorspar ores to achieve controlled particle size and consistent composition. Major applications include use as a flux in steel and non-ferrous metal smelting, a raw material for hydrofluoric acid production, and an essential additive in ceramics, glass, enamels, and welding electrodes. Fluorite powder is also used in cement production, foundry applications, and certain chemical formulations where controlled melting behavior is required. From a technical perspective, important parameters include CaF₂ purity, silica and sulfur content, moisture level, particle size distribution, and whiteness, all of which directly affect performance in downstream processes.
