Fluorine Fluorspar Powder

Fluorspar Powder is available in different grades based on CaF₂ content and impurity levels, including Acid Grade (≥97% CaF₂), Metallurgical Grade (60–85% CaF₂), and Ceramic Grade. Acid grade fluorspar powder is mainly used for the production of hydrofluoric acid (HF), fluorochemicals, aluminum fluoride, and synthetic cryolite. Metallurgical grade is widely applied as a flux in steelmaking, iron casting, and non-ferrous metallurgy to lower melting points and improve slag fluidity. Ceramic grade fluorspar powder is used in glass manufacturing, ceramic glazes, enamels, and welding electrodes to enhance transparency, surface finish, and thermal behavior. Chemically, fluorspar powder consists primarily of calcium fluoride, with controlled levels of silica (SiO₂), calcium carbonate (CaCO₃), sulfur, and phosphorus depending on grade. Key technical parameters include particle size distribution (fine mesh powders), moisture content, whiteness, and bulk density, all tailored to meet specific industrial requirements.
