They are typically narrow, with widths ranging from 23 mm to 32 mm, to reduce rolling resistance, the tread pattern is usually minimal or slick for maximum contact with the road. Road tires operate at high air pressures (80–130 psi) to decrease friction and improve speed. Modern high-performance tires  are available that use tubeless technology, reducing punctures and improving comfort and also the traditional road bike tires are in our supply list, the traditional designs use clincher tires with inner tubes, still common for everyday riders. Tubular tires (sewn-up type glued to rims) are preferred by professional racers for low weight. Common materials include nylon or cotton casings and rubber compounds for the tread, kevlar beads are used in foldable tires for lighter weight and easier transport.
