Carton Box
The first thing to know when ordering cartons are the terms that are used in the carton industry. Cartons can be categorized based on the paper that they are made from, how the paper is corrugated and how the carton itself is made. These factors also affect the strength and durability of a carton and are key to knowing which type to order.
RSC Boxes stands for “regular slotted carton” and is the typical box construction that results in four flaps on the bottom box opening and four flaps at the top opening.
HSC Box , Half-Slotted Containers (HSC) are similar to an RSC, but with only one set of flaps. They are useful when an open-top container is desired. HSCs can be used to create a telescope box. A Full Telescope Box has two fully telescoping sections.
Fiberboard Box , Corrugated fiberboard is a material consisting of a fluted corrugated sheet and one or two flat linerboards. It is made on “flute lamination machines” or “corrugators” and is used in the manufacture of shipping containers and corrugated boxes.
Folding Cartons , These type of cartons are made from a single sheet board and are also known as paper board cartons or paperboard boxes, it can be further styled with print and by finishing the surfaces with lamination, embossing, foiling, glueing and other features. The best examples of folding cartons are cereal boxes and pizza boxes.

Rigid Carton Boxes , these type of cartons are entirely different from folding cartons and are also known as telescopic cartons. In rigid cartons, the top and the bottom part are detached from each other and are, made from two different sheets of cardboard. Rigid cardboards are more sturdy and do not collapse or fold. They are mostly used for products, in which the perceived value is of greater importance and also for products which are heavy and need extra support.
