Bitumen 30/40

Bitumen 30/40 is a high-quality penetration grade bitumen produced from petroleum refining residues, especially vacuum bottom (VB) feedstock, through controlled oxidation and refining processes. This grade is classified as a semi-hard paving bitumen with penetration value between 30 and 40 dmm at 25°C, providing a strong balance between hardness, flexibility, adhesion, and durability. Due to its excellent binding properties and resistance to deformation, Bitumen 30/40 is widely used in demanding infrastructure projects and asphalt production.

Bitumen 30/40 is mainly used in road construction, highway paving, airport runways, asphalt concrete production, industrial flooring, and waterproofing applications. Its high viscosity and strong bonding characteristics make it suitable for hot climate regions and heavy traffic areas where asphalt pavement requires improved resistance against rutting, cracking, and mechanical stress. This grade is commonly supplied for hot mix asphalt (HMA) manufacturing, including base courses and wearing courses.

The main features of Bitumen 30/40 include excellent adhesion to aggregates, high thermal stability, good aging resistance, water resistance, and long service life.
